Hi,

I have a 96 discovery with 140K/ml on the clock. I bought it recently and I’m working on it for off road use.

The read break lights don’t work when applying break. Every thing else works signal lights , fog light and reveres.

I checked the fuse
Changed the bulb (the one with 5W/21W)
I checked the sensor in the break paddle

Nothing .

Where should I start so I can pin point the problem

Make sure the housing isn't loose. On mine, the bulbs have to be re-adjusted in the housing every so often, or the brake lights will fail. Do you have a functional third brake light (the one in the door)? That will help people help immensely.

It worked

I just hade to start the car!

For some reason after changing the light when pressing on the break paddle it wont work but after I started the car it began working.
