Hi Guys,

Unfortunately, someone decided to back in to our LR3 and put a nice hole in our rear bumper (nothing else got damaged, but the bumper will need to be replaced). Of course they didn't leave a note :)mad:), so I'm trying to figure out options - either take it to the body shop, or buy a bumper myself and put it on (one of the benefits of not having to paint the bumper!).

So, has anyone ever removed the rear bumper? If so, how difficult was it? Any instructions? I did a search, but didn't see anything.

Also, if anyone has a recommendation on where to get an OEM bumper at a reasonable price, I'm definitely open. Our dealer is awesome for service, but we've used their body shop for work before (on a previous car) and were less than impressed - I'm figuring doing it myself is at least worth a shot this if it isn't too cumbersome.

TIA,
Rich

If you are in SoCal, I'll sell you a bumper for $25. It has a tiny nick in it, and is dusty, otherwise excellent condition. Has the rear PDC holes.

If you are talking about the plastic (actually rubber) rear bumper part, that is easy to take off and on. You will likley be shocked at how easy it is. You will never be happy if you try to repair and paint it. . .if you can find anyone that will even try to do it. Replacement is 100% the way I would go.
