Hey 'mates - so one of my rear license plate units over time lost the little nub on the right side that held the housing in place... it would no longer *snap* firmly into position.

So in looking for a fix I discovered the original LR units were $150! Ebay has same for around $15 depending on which (Chinese?) source you pick.

I took a chance on one and lost my bet! The new LED units came in, looked great, but by a millimeter Would. Not. Go. In. Too big!

So I'm taking advantage of free returns offered by this vendor.

Getting to my question—yeah yeah I know and I've been burnt before (oil filters) by not using LR originals—nevertheless can anyone recommend a source for these housings other than LR that work? I mean if I don't need to spend $150 for something that $15 will cover then, yes please! But if the forum consensus is that all of these aftermarket vendors are crap then okay LR you get my money.

Cheers,

J

So, you just swapped the back end, with the bulb carrier, out?
