Hi Folks,
I am new to the post and thought "What a better way to introduce myself" I have a 1997 Disco SD with 120K on it. I recently noticed that when I drive the rig for a while and restart the it after a short stop it fires up but seems to run on 6 cyliders or so until I rev the engine or give it a minute. The odd thing is that it seems to do the same thing when I throw it into reverse. The truck has a slight loss of power under load but does not misfire or stumble. The truck has all clean fluids, New Champion plugs (Gapped correctly), new wires, new fuel filter, new air filter etc (Engine is Bosch not Gems).
The check engine light is on and, last time I checked threw a code for the number 2 O2 sensor. I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction and also how to turn off the check engine light. I would also like to ge some info on cleaning the MAF. I have the LR service guide on CD but wanted to get anyones input or shortcuts.
Thanks,
Scott
