rust question

Hey all,

Was poking around my truck when I noticed the pulley wheel was totally rusty. The service advisor said this was normal. Can anyone else look at theirs? If you open the hood and look straight down - it's the big belt wheel in the middle. I have a picture - will need to up it to my website and publish.

Yep, got the same situation. Should be all right as the part that contacts the belt is unaffected. Not aesthetically pleasing, though. If you really want a shock take a flashlight to the undercarriage of your LR3, near the back. Lots of rust there and first showed up within a month of purchase. But, again, think it's alright.

If you're talking about the lower pulley that's above the oil filter, yeah, mine's discolored. Big deal.

I can't tell what anything looks like under my hood 'cause everything is covered in DIRT!!
