I have a 2002 Discovery 2 with 85,000 miles. 3 amigos. Replaced shuttle valve. Lights came on 2 times right after installation. They have not come back on in over a month of driving. Can anyone explain why they would come on and then disappear?

System had to clear itself, then the issue went away.

How did you it?

I guess question is really, what exactly did you do? I have same problem and shuttle valve diagnosis from
Mechanic.

Thanks and congrats

Shuttle Valve Replacement Dumb Question

I have the 3 amigos issue as well, and have already replaced the ABS relay, and cleaned the ABS sensors to try and get rid of them, but to no avail. The next step is to replace the shuttle valve, as this is the next least expensive fix. My DUMB question is, where is the shuttle valve located so I can replace it (see, I told you it was a dumb question)? I've looked at the ABS modulator, and for the life of me, there is nothing obvious that sticks out to me that says "shuttle valve". I also have the RAVE manual, and can't find anything in there either.

Thanks for the help!

First let me say this will be a painful PITA job.

It is under the Modulator, you have to undo the bolts that hold the modulator in place, lift the modulator up about 3 or so inches (make sure you do not bend the lines going into it. Then you need to remove the 3 screws that hold the modulator in place and unplug it.

Reverse procedures to install new one... again PITA.

Another PITA?

Thanks again, Joey. Seems like just about everything on the LR is a PITA! And I'm in the middle of the biggest PITA in history right now; changing the spark plug wires!!!! I'll check it out and let you know how it goes...
