soft ware patch 2011 lr4/voive regonition

Have it installed bv your Dealer.Most are lost on this issue and Land Rover is dragging there feet to tell 2011 LR4 Owners they have it NOW!!!!!!!!!! Just Installed it on my 2011 LR4 and now it works like my 05 LR3 did.

2012/Voice Regonition/Navagation

Voice regonition is installed on 2012 Lr4 Land Rovers.It has been improved over what I had in 05 LR3.The 2011 LR4 had the same sftware as 05 and they shut it off.The problem is I would have to get manual out to know what exact words to use back then till you memorized the common orders.
The 2012 is also going back to the Hard Drive Navagation.Makes me laugh because I had that in 05 already. I knew they were making a big mistake in 2010 taking it out.You have to go to the dealer and pay big money to update 2010-11 Navagation systems.In2012 you just put in a DVD to do it like in 05.It was under Drivers seat.Land Rover does continue to make there products prone to high maintence costs.

If the 2012s are using hard drive navigation, why do they use navigation DVDs?

Thats what updates them and its continusly working in the unit under seat.You get better coverage also,more states at once. Just seen a 2012 LR4 and it has VOICE REGONITION AND HARD DRIVE NAVAGATION.2011 LR4 /OBSELETE

The 2011s have hard drive navigation. Do you mean that the 2012s have DVD navigation? There is a difference.

Yes DVD navagation.........2011 old news. and 2012 has Voice Regonition.
