Greetings All,
My name is Andrew and I have a 2004 Range Rover. It is the first Land Rover I have owned. I don't plan on doing much off-roading, but like most LR owners its nice to know the ability is there should you need it.
I grew up in Solihull, England, just a couple of miles from the Land Rover factory. We moved to Illinois in 1996 and then South Carolina in 2006.
I mostly do all my own vehicle maintenance. I have had too many experiences with botched jobs from garages to trust anyone with my vehicles unless it is bodywork, or if the car is new and I want to maintain the value. Although on most vehicles I have owned I have managed to sell them for at least what I paid for them.
I consider car restoration as one of my hobbies (along with sailing and guitar). My last "project" was a 1990 Jaguar XJS. I am also working on a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite restoration.
When I first got my Range Rover I took it to the dealers for servicing. But now that the vehicle is older (and I have less money) I am planning on doing all maintenance myself.
