I hope the plethora of wheel/tire threads I keep creating isn’t frowned upon. My guess is that lots of other folks will continue to look for similar specific feedback, so hopefully these threads making searching for and finding them easy.

Anyway, I’ve been told that steel wheels can be difficult to balance and, in general, don’t typically offer the same ride quality as alloys.

While this doesn’t really matter off-road, if I make the jump to 18s, they’ll be my daily driver as well.

So I’m curious what the opinions and experiences re: ride quality have been for those that are running steel 18s (terrafirma, TuffAnt, etc). Thanks in advance.

I don't have steelies on the Landy but I've had plenty on other things and have never been able to tell a difference in ride or performance. They certainly balance just fine.

Never heard that about steel wheels. Mount ride and balance fine.
