Supercharger for Non-supercharged Land Rover Sport?

I have an 2006 HSE Sport and I wanted to know if anyone has tried to supercharge their non supercharged sport or LR3? Would this be possible because the supercharger is meant for the 4.2 V8 engine oppose to the 4.4 N/A engine I have.
