Hey everyone. I have a 95 Disco I that pretty much serves as a grocery getter for the time being. She has 105K miles on her and is suffering from most of the minor pains a girl her age does. One that is REALLY troubling me is this terrible metallic "clunk" coming from the left front wheel. It is noticeable when I am at a slow speed and decelerating, accelerating and turning, again, at slow speeds. I thought CV joint but was told that would be more of a constant click. This is a pronounced thud that I can actually feel under my left foot when it happens. I actually noticed it driving yesterday when I hit a pothole and the car got some lateral movement. Any ideas at all??? Thanks!!!

Ball Joint, Bearing, CV joing, or the steering arm is going bad..... check them all.

OK, being a total newbie...when you say to check all of them...how exactly would I go about that? Jack the car and just shake the hell out of the wheel assembly? Sorry for the novice question
