Thanks Coe, I'm dying to try it. I'll have to wait till I dig out of all this snow though...(no garage :( )
Dave, it's a 97 DI, thanks also for your input.

The jonfund article looks pretty interesting. I am a little worried about something as soft as copper even id it is only to take up space. Are there any commercially available disconnects for a disco I?

For those that have just removed their sway bars - do comments like "just fine" mean there is little to no difference or does that mean as long as you am careful there are no worries?

Thanks for your time. This is a great resource!

I have 3inch lift on top of 33/12.50s and no rear sway bar. Before and after taking it off the only thing I noticed was in crosswinds the truck likes to 'wander' more. Taking a curve... no big difference... the same 'turn and hold on' as it was before!! Screw the disconnects.. Take the thing off completely, if you don't like it, put it back on!

Dont need em. My 93 D1 came stock without them and never had a problem going 65 on 50 curve. But thats me.

Same advice for the front one?

I plan on taking them both off this weekend. I will post the results.

Just take the rear off.

No gain in taking the front off.

Have fun and if you don't break anything you need to find a better trail!!!!
