...but does anyone know if just the metal "fascia piece" that goes around the outside of the side-steps can be purchased separately?

Might want to invest in a set of rock sliders my friend! You're truck is getting an increasing amount of fun time I've noticed.....

Nathan, I paid a local fabricator to beef up those running boards into what would sort of serve as sliders, but obviously there was a weakness there in that stainless steel rub strip. If you think about it though...they sort of did their job; my door is still intact and so are the running boards. I will weld that rub strip back on! ....and if I ever totally lose the running boards, I will get the rock-sliders from offroving.com because I agree that they are great.
