Transmission temperature senor
Hi everyone.
I am a new face and newbe in Land Rover forum. I have 1999 Disco Series 2 (from the USA). Here is my problem: I have rebuilt engine 4.0 on zero miles now. Before I did it a transmission light used to come on after 10 minutes from cold start. Having rebuilt the engine the same sensor comes on the same time as if it knows the milage I pass. I asked the mech to check the level, it is OK and seems no problem (clean fluid and not burnt). However, the same light comes on. What I need from you, profies:
1. what is the best way to check the fluid level on LR?
2. where is the sensor and cooling line for transmission?
3. how to check if this is the proper sensor (temperature limits)?
4. Could anyone get visual aids (graphic images as attachment) to me by email

Please consider that I am not in the West now but in a developing country where they have diagnostics for all vehicles except for LR (computer connects but cannot read th data).
Otherwise it drives excellent and shifts so smooth that one cannot even trace when. I have to cover ditances with it and scared until check that all is right. please help.
