It's telling, ultimately, that his posts are about the dealership and not about his new ride.

Ironically I'm noticing here locally the 06 CPO's are running 25k-28k with anywhere from 14k miles to 29k miles depending on features..
I'm only 100 miles north, but I'm noticing the same thing. Six months ago I paid $26k for an 05 SE with 33k miles, and don't feel that I massively overpaid for the time, though I think my vehicle would be more like $23k CPO today.

I think for people who don't have access to auctions and want a CPO vehicle, you need to add several thousand dollars to any of the auction prices. Dealers are paying those auction prices, and they obviously mark up from there.

He's not buying/selling CPO cars - these are used from independent source. CPO is Land Rover dealer only, and that's FULL LOAD RETAIL. Indy dealers can't float that retail, no factory warranty. Should be less. Private sales, still less. If a car's wholesale is 20,000 then a 10% markup is typical for an Indy. Dealer will go 15-20, maximum for certification.

agreed, local non LR dealers push the D3s out the door, but the LR dealer keeps the price consistent. Although you can get a MY 08 model SE for around 36-38k (Demo pricing) with 5k and under on the miles... not too bad at all.

reply to haters

I think you forum guys are a little crazy and paranoid. The only reason that i mentioned the name of the dealership that I bought my car from is because I had such a great experience there. Like I said before, I wasted alot of time looking at junk cars and talking to alot of B.S. salespeople at alot of other dealers and I just wanted to save some folks their time. Like they say, time is money.

Paranoid, no. Suspicious, yes. I bought a car last weekend, had a great experience, and felt like I got a good deal. That said, I also felt like I needed a shower afterword. Your comments, in context, are unusual to the norm.

I remember when I got my Lr3 I WAS excited I bought mine used non lr drealer one of those whole sale places saved some bucks but didnt go on about it this guy is a total sales pitch. I bet he gets some kind of reward points of cash for each referal
or he just works for them. why would you have them mention kyour name if they are selling so quick you think the salesman remembers who you are a week later? Heck I have trouble remembering which patents I saw 2 days ago.

Well, let's get over it. If it was a sneaky plug, so be it. If you were just excited and trying to be helpful, then thank you.
At any rate, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will love your LR, as pretty much all of us do. It's a great, great ride....even though I just dropped mine off at the shop today, lol.
