Just to clear the matter up of why u need it hooking up to a sat nav gps is because it gives a true speed on NAV display and when going through tunnels or in underground carparks or Gps satellite obscured view , the system maintains its moving point on the map and carrys on even when no signal, the built in gyroscope tells the nav pc thats its turning left or right or around so then it maintains its map pin point accuracy on the video map.
