Did any of you get the Wade Sensing feature in your MY14 LR4 or any LR4 for that matter. I had assumed it was part of the Offroad Nav system as I saw it online somewhere. But on my order sheet it says, "Less Wade Sensing" which means it is to be excluded. Any thoughts?

You are probably correct. That is why I asked. I probably saw it in the UK site. Thanks.

What? Aw, man. That was something I was looking forward to playing with eventually.

Yeah, apparently the wade sensing system didnt pass muster with DOT in North America. Owners from abroad who have it are less than enthusiastic about it as well, they say the system starts malfunctioning as soon as the mirror cameras / sensors get the least bit dirty (which tends to happen when wading in mud), and what's the point of letting you know you are in water too deep for the car... when you are already in it? The system doesn't look ahead to warn you, it just estimates water depth under the side mirrors. Land Rover itself says the system isn't designed or can be relied upon for off-road use. I don't think we're missing much.

Thanks, All. I just wanted to make sure they hadn't accidentally missed something when entering the order. It appears that there are other minor capabilities that likely are not available in the US. Such as a TV receiver.

My sales guy also confirmed today that wade sensing is not available in the US.
And from what Umberto is saying, it's no big loss.
And regardless of what they say, I think soaking your engine and other parts at the 700mm mark is not a good idea.
The other thing is; it's not hard to go from 700mm to 1500mm in an instant. So, I don't really get the utility of the wade sensing; except to show you on a pretty display that your ass is wet..... :)

I think if I were in water I'd be testing depth the old fashioned way, definitely wouldn't rely on the sensing system - especially on a LR! ;-)

It's like the surround cameras, they seem more strategically placed on the 2014, but I would still never use them or rely on them.
