Never seen it before. That thing looks cool. Does anyone know if it would get in the way if you want to add a steering skid guard later?
Thanks for pointing it out to, so far that's the best for what I'm after.
Shawn
Believe me, if it was that cheap to get it to Canada I would do it. I think I will watch for a used one in Canada.
I did find an interesting option from Devon 4x4, it's a low profile winch bumper (no bull bar) that is "only a little heavier than the stock bumper". They haven't responded yet...
I understand what you are saying but gotta say that the assumption that heavy duty 4x4'ing is the only time you should need a winch seems a bit off to me. Mike sounds like he's almost on a rant about it. Most of my off roading is when we go hunting or fishing. We thought a winch would be very...
Ok, let me re-phrase it a bit.... How can I add a winch without taking out a bank loan. The new bumper idea was just the easiest way I could think of to mount it. I was also thinking of mounting a forward facing receiver hitch so I could put the winch on the front or back as needed.
Thx

I have a 96 disco with a brush bar on it but now I want to put a winch on the front. What options are most cost effective while still looking ok for a daily driver?
I like the ARB one piece bumper / bar assembly but can't imagine being able to justify spending that much (~$800 USD +Shipping)...
I found a TSB on it but can't find out what the TSB says to do. The TSB is TEC190896, does anyone know how I can get the information that this TSB contains?
Thx

ODB2 error code: P0125
Does anyone have information about the P0125 error? I am wondering if there is a service bulletin about it or if anyone knows where I can buy the chip that people are saying I should replace in the ECU.
1996 Disco sd.
Thx

The other day (while driving down a tight trail) I bent my radio antennae to the point that it could no longer be straightened. This means I am in the market for a replacement but I don't want to get another one that's that delicate. Does anyone have a suggestion about the make or style they...
I bought some jump seats through ebay a couple of months ago and have not been able to install them yet because the person I bought them from has yet to send me the brackets that mount to the truck. I am still trying to pursue those with him but am loosing faith in him as he is not returning my...
Any comments? Anyone?
I was hoping to atleast get something like...
"this is the way all LRD's are"
or maybe something like....
"weird problem, you must have too much gas in the tank" :albertein
ANY help would be appreciated.
Thx
Shawn
On my '96 disco I have a situation that might be normal for LRD's but thought I would ask if it is 'fixable'.
My clutch engages with very little pedal travel and that makes 'slipping' the clutch a little tricky. It seams that from the time the pedal starts engaging the clutch till the time...
I just received a set of jump seats that I purchased on EBay but they have no instructions with them. Does anyone have instructions on the installation?
Thanks
Shawn
I spend most of my time on twinturbo.net (because of a 300zx I own) and while they are LOADED with information, they usually tear into everyone that knows less about the 300zx than they do. It can taint you to other forums I guess. :ahhhhh:
As for the rotoflex... I have only had my...
Do you have to upgrade anything else if you want to swap those springs in?
btw... all this help is VERY cool. Not many user communities are this helpful !
Nice pix!
245's.... Do you know what profile? are they
LT245/75R16/E
Also ( I know this is most likely a noob question but....) what does "OME MD" stand for? Is it a make or a size? (it even feels stupid to type that question)
Here's the deal,
I would like to get a set of tyres that can handle mud etc better but would like to mount them on some cool looking classic style rims. There is a guy up here in Canada the has some old steel defender wheels as well as some Range Rover Classic steel rims and some 5 spoke steel...
Thanks for bringing them to my attention but I wasn't really needing new wheels, I just thought they were a really good price considering the amount of rubber still on them. Here is the one's I was interested in...
Thanks, that really got me going...
So for future internet bolt pattern searchers, here's the skinny....
Disco 1 bolt pattern : 5 x 6.5"
Range Rover 1997: 5 x 4.75"
Bottom line: No SUPER deal for me :(
Better keep looking.
Again, thanks for the help it is greatly...
