Does any one have any experience installing:

1. Rear lamp guards (Part No. VPLAP0009) and
2. Rear Access Ladder (Part No. AGP780020)

Found them cheaper, of course, than dealer. Install is expensive, thinking about doing it myself. Thanks in advance.

It's always reassuring for the do-it-yourselfer how unambiguous those wordless Land Rover PDF instructions are.

I actually purchased the rear lamp guards and started to attempt installation, until I saw the need to drill holes in the sheet metal behind the lamp. Decided that wasn't something I wanted to mess up, so I spent the $100-$200 (don't recall exactly what it was but it was in that range) at the dealer to have them do it. If the instructions were more detailed, I may have still attempted it, but as with all LR accessory instructions, they weren't.

I don't blame you. I would have done the same thing.

Thanks for this. Anyone ever done it themselves before? After reading the instructions, I tend to agree to have the dealer do it. Just hate to pay the extra, it really does seem like it's a simple job. Ebay has all the gear.

Super simple, just follow the instructions. I put a piece of electrical tape over the hole to seal it, not sure if it helps though. If you've ever operated a drill, it's cake walk. Save the $200 for more LR crap.

I agree. You can do it yourself. I did both. I ended up not drilling in for the lamp guards but simply screwing a metal screw in to hold them in place. Very easy. Installing the ladder was no problem either.

Expat93 and ndrenfro, special thanks, will do this myself. Just looked all over for any videos, really lacking, at least on youtube on any DIYs for these things.

I'm fired up to do these too:

1. Full Length Roof Rail Kit - Bright finish
Part No: VPLAR0075

2. Body Side Mouldings with Bright Insert
Part No: VPLAP0013

3. Protection Bar
Part No: VPLAP0022
