ok.. an update.. So the tank was leaking, I installed a new tank... So compressor was working overtime. It failed in abt a year (the cylinder was scored.. and it was poorely made wrt the OEM, so I put the 2 together into a frankenpressor. works well now) Still, the compressor cycles between (AFAIR) 800 and 1800 KPa, and it still leaks down in about 1 min.
So the latest theory is that the exhaust valve is leaking. Maybe will just add a manual valve inline the exhaust .. cheap and robust solution..
