oil in intercooler pipe = 2001 vogue

My vogue was feeling very slow and very loud, so i thought it may have been the intercooler pipe that had come off, the pipes where on, but the on side (turbo side) had alot of oil in it

why would this be and why would it be very loud when revving it?

please help

Oil in the intercooler pipe could mean the turbo is on its way out.

that is what i thought.. but why would the engine be very loud?
