Question for those wade a lot with the LR4, did water ever come into the cabin? The doors have massive rubber seals, but i’m still curious...

I have gotten a bit of leakage under the front doors before. None I have noticed under the rears.

I attributed it to worn weatherstripping and have since replaced it.

This was in about 38 inches of water.

No other adverse effects to report.

I haven't noticed much coming in, but I tend to keep things moving and haven't really stood still in it. I think the door seals are pretty good.

I've had water come over the hood before but kept moving at all times. I've never had water enter the door seals. I like to apply 303 protectant to them every once in a while to keep them supple.

When one of my fuel injectors went (replaced all 8) the indy said there was sand present so not sure if that was from water crossings and or just general dust from the trails.

Not sure everyone is up to speed on that. I recently bought a set of black side grilles from eBay. Obviously a reproduction. The left side was open in back (as it should be); the right side was completely sealed so that air could not flow. Took quite a lot of arguing with the seller to get them to take it back.
This combo you were offered could have been for the European diesel versions (like mine). That would be normal then - one side (driver’s) is sealed off and only the passenger’s side lets the air in. Which is how is it possible to install a snorkel in the first place. Although the OEM snorkel I got recently turned out to have… factory-made HOLES (like a sieve) in its joint. Apparently that’s what LR offers for ”not dusty” markets, ignoring the possibility someone (like myself) could take that car to Asia, for example...

I once tested the door seals for quite some time:(). They hold, at least while relatively new.
