I think we could all benefit from a better flow exhaust. I propose someone takes a trip to borla and convinces them to build a prototype from their truck. Probably not that easy but I know for sure that many companies that I used to deal with used to give protoype builds for free. Im looking for a more efficient exhaust with minimal noise and maybe even routing over the rear axle. any takers? so far the only exhausts i saw were big, loud, and from the UK.

Borla makes one for the sport already, and it fits the LR3 if you extend it a bit (cheap to do). However, it's more of a blinger type exhaust.

Borla is going to be on site at the 4WParts Truck & Jeep show at the Ontario Convention Center this weekend. It's free to attend. I'm going on Sunday. I can talk to them, but don't hold your breathe....

believe me Im not. If they cant sell a million of them, they wont make it. I considered making my own, but prefer a pre-fit that has some actual dyno time to maximize performance and torque. I want to keep the tips hidden as they are stock and keep the virtually silent sound. Maybe you'll spark and interest. I called my local rep for a good word, he's gonna let me know if its ever gonna happen.

Borla made the exhaust for my Ram SRT10 and Dodge only made a total of 12k trucks from 2004 to 2006 ..... So they might be open to make a exhaust for the LR3.

Cheers J.T.

good point, although a ram in any fashion is a little more "mainstream." they had three years to make one but so far no luck. i just hope that someone does something before a body change, then we will surely be out of luck. maybe time to get the tig out.

Well you might be in luck. I have a co-worker who used to work at Borla and is still on good terms with them. I'm going to have him contact them to see if they are interested and If they are I will let them use my LR3.

I will keep you guys posted.

Here is a quick update. We spoke to the owner of Borla and they didnt have the LR3 in their current plans. We made him aware of this post and he said that he would call us if they changed their minds. Unfortunately I get the feeling that there isnt much demand for an exhaust for our loved LR3. Since I work in the aftermarket automotive industry I will keep my feelers out as to any potential companies that might be interested in coming out with an LR3 exhaust.

I will keep everyone posted. It might help if we knew how many members here that were actually interested.
