coolant leak

Whats up guys, i have a issue with my 99 disco1 SD 119,000. Open the hood to check everything out and saw dried up coolant on the driver side running down the side of the tank. Wipe it off and didn't see any cracks on the area where it was running down from. Drove the car about a week and had to add coolant in the overflow tank. I still see the dried up coolant were it ran down the side of the radiator on the driver side. Do you think i have a small crack on that side of the tank? Does it sounds like i need new rad. Some times i smell coolant a little when i shut the car off and get out while the engine is hot. Sometimes i don't smell anything. Any feed-back. Thanks guys!!!!!!

Does it still have the black coolant tank? If so I would replace with a new one.

You need to go have your coolant system pressure tested, make sure you keep the coolant bottle full and don't drive it much, till you get it fixed or you small leak may turn into an overheated engine.

i have one with the black tank...are these no good?
mine dose not leak .

The black ones had a tendency to fail, sadly when they do fail it could be real bad. I would recommend spending the $60 - $80 to replace it.
