    Towing travel trailer with Discovery

:hello:I have to agree with the Land Rover's lack of towing ability; I pulled a Mercury Tracer, on a U-haul Car dolly, approximately 3500-4000 lbs total load, for a distance of 320 miles, over 2 mountain ranges. Very slow going up any kind of grade, over heating issues caused many delays in my...

    Towing Troubles

i'll try them, the piece is broken off, i noticed that it was bent up pretty good, and i straightend it when i had my initial shifting problems, it shifts fine, just think that linkage was too weakend from being bent.

    Towing Troubles

Well, I discovered my 94 Discovery is not a tow truck. After 320 miles of pulling a 99 Ford ****** on a Car-dolly, the rover needed a break. I pulled 2 mountain ranges, 1 pass that went from 3000ft up to over 9000 ft in about 4 miles. ( only 2 stops to cool the engine) the other range was worse...

    Sun Roof Parts

greetings: I recently installed a CB in my 94 Discovery, and i have some parts for the sunroofs that i no longer need. Both tracks were shot, so the sunroofs were sealed shut to prevent leaking. I dont feel like 300$ per roof to fix, and i am now looking to get rid of the following...

    radiator fill plug

Ive discovered in the last few weeks, that Rover cooling systems are EXTREMELY picky. My fan clutch on my 94 Disco was shot, and in town driving w/ a/c threatened to roast my engine. I replaced the entire mechanical unit with a $65 Autozone electrical fan 16". That has helped my cooling...

    Flashing (blinking) Odometer

i imagine your best bet would be to put some new cable ends on the cables or replace the cables. is fairly easy to put some new ends on the cables, as long as there is enough slack to account for an inch or so shorter cables.

    No Cruise - Part II

yeah, the light comes on, at first i thought it was the brake switch because it was not attached to the bracket, and dangling free. i put it back in place, and nothing, i took it off, and taped it down, and nothing. no power at the vac pump.

    No Cruise - Part II

i think i have the same problem with my 94. all hoses good, i did have a hole in the diaphram, but i patched it with silicone, and now it holds vaccum. will check on the brake swithc afterwhile and see if its it.

    Fuel Economy

Greetings: I was wondering what mileage benifits you guys have gotten from your Rovers? I got my 94 Disco bone stock 2 weeks ago, I figured the milage when I first filled it up and it was a respectable 15.2. I was content with that, full time 4x4 and as areodynamic as a shoe box, its...

    Transfer Case problems!!!!!

:proud: FIXED!!!!!! I pulled the Solenoid for the saftey switch, it was corroded up and froze up like somthing wicked! I removed the solenoid, and put the cover back on the Transfer Case, worked the shifter a little to free it up, and now im DANG proud to be a Rover owner. That thing will...

    Transfer Case problems!!!!!

IDEA!!!! I was looking through my CD Repair manual, and it mentioned somthing about a neutral saftey switch...think that could be bad and holding my truck in high range????:stupid:

    Transfer Case problems!!!!!

well, i tore it down further. i drilled out the rivets that hold down the shifter, and got direct access to the T-case linkage. it was bent. BUT the lever that goes into the transfer case itself it tight, and i cant move it with a 12" crescent wrench. now what??? looks like im gonna have to drop...
