power steering pressure hose O ring ?

here is the part, http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/RTC4826G I have looked for a size with no luck. If your trying to source the O-ring locally pull the hose and take it to a hydraulic shop and have them size it.

Did they clear up the issue you were having?

    Discovery 2 O2 sensor

I just bought a full set from Rock Auto, I think they were about $60 each. They have been on the rover for a few months and have been working fine. they scan with my reader and show they are working proper. Bap Geon has them too a bit more money, and then all the normal places like Rovers North...

    Discovery 1 Roof Rack

Looking for a used full roof rack. I know someone out there has one they want to get rid of.

    I have no idea

So is it running properly again? I would recommend not using the oil type filter because it can cause a slight oil film build up on the MAF and cause it to hold on to any little bit of dirt that gets by the filter leading to improper function or failure. That being said I use a K&N...

    1996 disco 1 over fueling

Have the codes read at the local auto part store and then find out what the truck is saying. Sounds like it could be several different things. The only way to narrow it down is with the codes. First thought in my mind is bad O2 sensors. they are supposed to control the fuel trim. But you...

    I have no idea

What is leading you to believe it is the coils? Have you had the codes read and there were coil specific codes? I would start with the basic stuff first and work your way through. Did you remove the filter and clean the MAF? While it was off did you look at and clean the throttle body? All can...

    I have no idea

it wouldn't hurt to pull it and drop a standard one in. then clean the MAF. The MAF can get dirty all on its own so a good cleaning now and then is not a bad idea, because it can cause all the problems you said your having.

    Rear Main Seal

I will do that. It was hard to find good information. I will try and do a proper write up to help people in the future.

    Rear Main Seal

So after a lot of research today I have discovered that the seal does slide over the crank and into the block. I was worried that it was sandwiched between the block and the rear main bearing carrier. I really didn't want to drop the oil pan. So it looks fairly straight forward. I will take lots...

    Rear Main Seal

I am replacing my 1998/99 D1 transmission this weekend. Wondering how hard it is to replace the rear main seal? It still has the factory gems 4.0, Can it be done with out pulling the oil pan? I haven't looked at the rave yet due to my work schedule. I have done this on many other vehicles and it...

    I have no idea

I just had this happen to my D1. was acting sluggish for about a week and then got much worse and then It started making a grinding noise. Turned out to be the Torque Converter :hmpf: So I am doing a Transmission this weekend yay :ahhhhh: But I agree with everyone else, Get the codes and...

    Brakes won't stop the car!

Without any more information I would say you got some oil or something else slick on the disks or pads. Had that happen to me after someone replaced pads on my discovery 1 they had lubed the pistons in the calipers and in the process got it on the disks. it would stop ok-ish under normal...

    timing cover

thcooler, In your post regarding the radio code you said your disco is a 1997? if so I think you have a Disco 1, the Disco 2 didn't go into production over seas until late 1998 and didn't come to the states until late 1999. Make sure of the model before looking for a fix because the two...

    Coolant leak ?!

I have never used blue devil. So I can't comment on if it works, or if it will work for this application. I am not a big fan of using the sealers on the rovers. Mainly because the radiators cooling passages are pretty small and get clogged up on there own with out the help of anything that is...
