    Finally!

Yes, I agree. It seems the dealer staff don't know much about what's online; in the Jaguar/Land Rover world. They always seem surprised when I show them J/LR info online. They certainly didn't know about the literature site. Now I do. So Thanks. Still, no electronic versions of manuals online.

    Finally!

Under the category of 'Finally': I asked my LR sales guy; and the Service guy: Why can't I download a pdf file for the LR4 Owner's Manual. If I go to Topix, I can 'see' the manual pages, one page at a time; but there's no download link for the whole thing. They tried and tried themselves to find...

Traffic Monitoring System Data Comes via FM

The 'Waze' Nav App is also well known for traffic monitoring.

    Finally!

Great photos, Dan. I remember hiking through a dense pine forest in Oregon; and suddenly reaching a very extensive and flat beach. Seeing the ocean like that took my breath away. Except for a little problem they have with tides, it would have been a great place to camp/sleep.

    Finally!

Yes, Dan. It parallells I17 as it goes through The Village of Oak Creek, then Sedona, then Oak Creek Canyon. It is Route 89A. Right now the switchbacks at the north end of the Canyon (climbing the rim on the way to Flagstaff) are closed. There was a major fire in the canyon that has just been...

    Finally!

End of an Era; Start of a New One Finally; Pictures Both in Oak Creek Canyon. I'm still very defensive with the LR4. There were some pigeons flying nearby one morning. I know shotgun blasts at 5am can be unnerving......but There IS the concept of Sovereign Airspace.... And they were...

    Finally!

Neat pictures, Dan. You're wasting no time getting yours outfitted and enjoying it with your wife. Good for you. I just drove mine home from the dealer today. I was so nervous that when some Chevy Blazer with eroded paint entered my 'space' (signaled by the blind spot monitors in the mirrors)...

    Finally!

It's here, it's here. Here in my driveway in fact. I'm in love..... :) Pictures soon.

    Finally!

I was oggling a red LR4, with black package, the other day. Pretty blonde inside. When I asked her how she liked driving it, she immediately said how much she loved it. Then she reminded me that she used to be my neighbor next door. I stared at her dumbfounded as she drove away. I think I'm...

Nara Lara? (Sorry, couldn't resist :) But then I couldn't resist Lara in Dr Zhivago either ! Very nice Dan. Congratulations.

    Placed my order tonight!

I agree that an extended warranty on the LR4 is 'good to have'. Between the massive electronics load and the special mechanical features of LR, I think some protection is prudent. (Guess I'm going to have to sell it at precisely 100k miles :)

    Placed my order tonight!

Soda, and Dan. I negotiated the extended warranty today. Best I could do for the max version (7 yrs, 100,000 mi) was $4165 for the LRNA extended. Are you both certain you're getting the LRNA warranty. The guy at the dealer implied that the $3600 price for the max version is for a 3rd party...

    Placed my order tonight!

I think any unused portion of the warranty cost is refundable; so if you total the vehicle (or sell it) e.g. half way thru, you get half back. 6 days and counting.....

    Placed my order tonight!

My dealer said that the extended warranty, although obtainable anytime during the factory warranty, gets more expensive as time goes by. They mentioned 15% higher after the first year. Not sure how negotiable that is.....
