Hi I am looking for some advice please. I had the dreaded handbrake problem and replaced the module. When i plugged it in the dash lit up like a Xmas tree and the car won’t start. I can’t see anything obvious and the diagnostic machine has a not giving me anything other thans the Epb and suspension faults.
Any ideas ? Thanks

Hi thanks , new battery fitted as thought this firstly. I also tried the removal of terminals truck before this. I have tried to find the E code on the dash that shows where the gear selection would be but can’t see it. Is it difficult to change the high canbus?

The canbus is an entire system and many modules are dependent on it. I don't think that's the move....

The new module needs to be reflashed.
The module being offline can pull the CAN network down.

Thanks, stupid question how do I do that? No auto electricians nearby have came up with any solutions. I really don’t get why it’s gone like that it was a simple plug out plug in as far as I thought. Thanks again james

Thanks for this. I don’t live within 100 miles of a dealership and it won’t start.

Plug the old one back in?
Also, check to see if any wires got pushed out on the electric connector.

Hi yeah I rewound the old one refitted it it’s doing the same. Changed the plug as I thought that was the problem but it’s still flashing and not starting. It’s one of those jobs you think doesn’t look too difficult and now I have a car that won’t start and no not now so no way to get my wife’s private plate off it. More ear ache
