The dash warnings came on last week. I turned the car off and restarted it and all fine. Same thing happened tonight.

Getting codes (GAP IID):

U0415-64 invalid data received from ABS control module
U0121-00 Lost communication with ABS control module
P0572-17 & P0573-16 Brake switch A low and high voltage

The car runs fine, stability control switched off though.

Quick search online indicates possible low voltage from battery, or maybe alternator issues.
Does the above sound familiar to anyone?

The ABS is an integral part of the stability systems.
In the troubleshooting process, eliminating the battery as a culprit is rule #1.
Just because the vehicle can start does not imply the battery is good. It should read 12.6v when the engine is not running.

Once you pass that pinpoint test, then move on to confirming the ABS module..

Hey, thanks.
Time to track down my trusty voltmeter.
Replaced the battery twice during ownershop and never had this particular issue, but will rule it out first, as you suggest

I've had the wheel sensor related codes from a loose battery connection. Bad power from the alternator could conceptually cause problems too. I hear they may start failing at 140k miles.

Hey thanks,
The alternator is original, so is on borrowed time.
I have the inevitable oil leak down the front of the engine on the LHS (valve covers / timing chain covers?) - have been monitoring it re. killing the alternator. Will have another peak.

Try the brake switch. See if your tail lights are working. When the brake switch goes the dash lights up with all those warnings.

Huh....... that's interesting. There were two brake switch codes which is odd. I had occasional hesitation where I had to press the start button a couple of times to start the car several months back. Replaced the start button and brake switch with Amazon versions........... still have occasional hesitation.............. just checked, brake lights working

12.4v engine off, 14.2v engine idling, 14.2v engine idling with headlights on, AC on, radio on.

So battery looks okay. Faults are still intermittent, so will see if they resolve themselves after clearing codes

Wondering if an ignition relay starting to go bad could cause these types of symptoms. not sure if these relays might chatter a bit when they are wearing out - not enough to shut down the engine, but enough to start causing faults like this. if you are getting the faults reliably, it would be easy to just swap out the relay with one from another circuit of the same size.

Okay, so that could explain why when I press the starter button, sometimes I need to do it 2-3 times before anything happens? That was the case tonight or crappy Amazon starter switch and brake switch are acting up.....probs not though as this issue has continued more or less, a bit intermittently, before and after I changed them out
