    The gasket is made on to the cover. I always use a new cover. Be sure to use some RTV silicone at the oil pan to block seam.

    The door ajar switches are built into each latch. A scan tool that can monitor data pids will indicate which switch is defective. Modules that are replaced, will need to be programmed. That way they can " talk" to each other.

    Definitely the crank seal leaking. The flywheel will need to be locked to remove the crankshaft bolt. To remove the crankshaft bolt, I use a 3/4" breaker bar from Northern Tools.

    Sounds like a vacuum leak to the brake booster. Check the plastic hoses from the engine vacuum pump to the brake booster.

    Probably. Best to use coolant as a lubricant.

    The part # you listed is the correct part from JLR. DO NOT use any petroleum based lubricants when installing the cap. The o-ring will swell up. Sadly, aluminum pipes for the normally aspirated engines.

    You can use an air chisel with a long bit. Contrary to popular belief. The fan turns the same direction that loosens the nut.

    You are correct. The '15 would have the updated guides. There could be issues with chain stretch and VVT drive train.

    It's more like the timing chain tensioner is weak, causing the rattle. Where the tensioner pushes on the chain guide, the aluminum wears out and causes the tensioner to extend further.

    Those parts will work. On the 4.4L V8s, the Teflon seals are black also.
