I tried searching and just could not find anything.....My 2015 LR4 HSE Lux with about 58k has been, once in awhile, having problems when I put it in D. The dial D just blinks and LR4 won’t move. It’s been a simple fix by putting it back in Park and then Drive again and has always been fine...
Did you happen to replace your heat shield bracket yet? If so, I see the repair call for a new LR073535 bracket PLUS 4 foam pads LR044464. Just wondering if the bracket comes with the foam pads or can the old ones be reused? Seems the pads themself add up to about the same cost of the bracket...
I actually went by a few auto part stores yesterday and the WIX brands look just like yours and still say "made in Jordan". I had thought there were only two types of filters but after looking around it seems you can get a filter with white paper media, yellow paper media and the synthetic...
So from a little research this is what I have found so far(really a lot harder to find out efficiency and microns than I thought it would be):
STP Extended Life S10992XL(YELLOW MEDIA): Around $15
99% efficiency and as small as 20 microns(the information is a little misleading as it DOESN'T say...
New Wix? Got a Link? Thanks
I agree that all the ones I've seen look exactly the same minus two: They both have a yellow media vs White like the others.
The STP Extended Life S10992XL that says provides for 10k miles and has 99% efficiency and removes particles as small as 20 microns...
Any idea what the efficiency rating is on these filters? Like are they 99% efficient with 20 or 25 small microns? I know probably not anything to really care about but just curious how our filter options compare to each other.
Any of you that did this tune have the so called idea shakes before hand that went away with this tune? I know people have mentioned they wished the V6SC would have a higher ideal rpm to fix the ideal shakes problem.
Have you considered Redline 0w20? I was planning on going with 5W20 in my ‘15 even though it states 0W20. I went ahead and put the 0W20 into my ‘15 because after reading up on the redline it’s very clear that the 0W20 is a very heavy 0W20 and almost comparable to other companies 5W20.
Hello everyone
I tried searching but just could not find the answer! I purchased a 2015 LR4 Lux a little over a month ago and I would really like to hear a sound/honk when locking the doors with the FOB. I looked in the manual with no luck so thought I'd ask you all.
Thanks in advance
Your probably correct on the actual need but I live in AZ and batteries tend to die out in 2-3 regardless. Thinking with a little more robust battery I could extend this a little or at least not have the so called electrical gremlins when batteries just can’t keep up do to age.
Has anyone tried a group 31? 31’s have a reputation of being built better than standard auto batteries and will have more CCA and Res capacity than a H8/49 battery. A 31 will be more of the size of a H7 LxW but is about 2inches taller than a H8 or H7. Just not sure if the cables will reach...
Throughout this thread I’ve seen people talk about different filters(ACDelco, Mahle, and such). Has anyone tried the yellow colored “extended performance” Premium guard filters...
WOW I LOVE reading all of that! Thank you for the link. I see that you use Motul correct? Do you use the 8100 or 300V? I've read that some have used the 300V in daily drivers but that seems extreme to me but who knows haha. The 8100 looks like a great oil.
I live on the east side of the valley. Are you a member of AZLR club?
I was wondering about 0W20 oil in our high high temps. Never ran this low of weight in an oil.
