How high can we safely run the tire pressure?
That would be Command Shift mode and it works fine in that mode. I'm talking just Sport mode where the shifter is moved to the left but no gears are manually selected. I've found that sometimes at highway speeds (60+ mph) it will stay in 5th gear. If I flip it to normal it'll shift to 6th. -

I agree with Houm on "why sport mode"? I use sport around town but I found that on the highway it will sometimes fail to switch into 6th gear thus affecting mileage. Oh, and fwiw, I accomplished 22.5 mpg on a Land Rover sponsored mileage challenge. The challenge was a nice trip down HWY 84... -

Lyon, I'm confused. If you are looking at BFG's then you already have 18" rims right? I ask because they don't make them in 19" rim sizes. Nathan has a nice list of what is available in 19's here -

I'm using the 18" rims that I bought from someone here on the forums. Had a tire place put on some Cooper Zeon LTZ's. 285/60R18 is the size. They are miles better then the stock Goodyears. I hated those tires so much that I got rid of them after only 15k miles and put Michelin Syncrones on... -

Voice Recognition
yeah, I found as well, that you need to talk like you are talking to a friend/wife/etc. Normal voice with no special enunciation and it'll understand 90% of the time. My wife has it set to the male british voice and it works for both of us pretty well. -

Or maybe LR should put decent tires on a vehicle that is supposed to go everywhere. I dumped the crapyears before I even hit 15k. Bought some synchrones. and now I have some 18" rims coming and will probably put some Zeon LTZ's on those. -

What is the weight capacity up there? I thought I read that the LR rack is good for 119lbs (Per the LR website). Is this because of rack design or is that the max that the roof rails themselves (which the rack bolts to) can hold? -

Well, we're currently running Synchrones. We dumped the Goodyears at 15k miles as they were getting noisy and had no traction. But yeah, no matter what it's still an upgrade from even the Synchrones. -

Turning off the Nav
You could probably just disconnect the screen but you'll have to pull the dash apart to do it. There is a writeup here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic475.html that may help you in taking things apart, etc. -

I'm in Vancouver, so yeah, right next to Porkland. Right now I'm actually leaning towards the Zeon's because the look so nice and are cheaper then my second choice which is the BFG's but I haven't even received my rims yet so I have time to look at some more reviews, etc. The Zeons are 1.45...
