    Front Seats Cracking

Smithwick, I feel for you... but this isn't exactly a product defect that everyone is experiencing. I honestly wouldn't expect any manufacturer to cover direct wear and tear items like this. Not directly related... but even the customer service darlings at Lexus didn't cover my buddy's Lexus...

    Brake Pads

Search for brake pads for equivalent here and you'll get a few threads talking about it... one even had instructions, unlike my quick and dirty one.

    iPod/iPhone Solution & Satellite radio

Your best bet is just to get a standalone satellite radio receiver and wire it into the AUX input with some form of toggle... so the wiring will be hidden. If you don't want to do it, any custom installer should be able to. The only true 'integrated' solution is to buy a new LR3 with the...

    New Nav Disc

Yep, moving the seat as mentioned above is all you need to do... I'm fairly sure they describe how to do it in the manual. No need to remove the front panel.

    Thank you for the 1791

No, the dealer would need to do that via test book.

    iPhone 3g & LR3?

I must ask. Why do you want to upgrade? I have both (temporarily) right in front of me. The 3G iPhone 'real' network speed here (S.F. Bay Area) isn't much better than the EDGE based iPhone in all my testing so far. (This is quite disappointing, especially at $10 more per month.) Maybe it'll...

Love my second HSE...but bluetooth is waring me down!

The PTI phonebook can't handle more than ~200 numbers/names, if I remember correctly... it's not a limit on the phone side.

How to reset the oil change message?

To my knowledge, there may be no way to reset the service counter at home. I remember trying the process that was documented in one of the stale GTR tech articles years ago, and it never worked. So, your current experience matches mine... You can, however, ask your dealer to permanently turn...

Love my second HSE...but bluetooth is waring me down!

The 2008 should have support for Phonebook transfer via OBEX/Bluetooth. It's fairly limited, though... and I'm sure it won't work for every device. The flaw? If your phonebook has nested phone numbers (single name w/ work, home, etc.)... they'll all be listed as identical name entries...

Customer replaceable tail lights or signal light

Instructions are in your owner's manual. For parts, visit your local automotive shop or your LR parts counter... and they'll set you up. If you are talking not just the bulb, you'll need to stick with the LR parts counter. :)

    Keyless entry

Sorry, programming for the key and the fob has to be done with test book by the dealer... which makes good sense, for security purposes.

    Removing LR3 badges

They remove like any stickered (yes, invented word) badge. Go for it.

    lf 2008 nav disc

Used, maybe try eBay... but don't expect to get the latest version for cheap. Do note a 'back up' is the same as "pirated" unless you own the current disc already.

Should I switch to synthetic oil?

Just for reference... for a 8000 mile run, stock non-synth oil (as supplied by dealer, under the free service program) tested at 86%. OEM oil filter. Free free to use synthetic, especially if you abuse your vehicle with short trips... it can't hurt, of course. :) But don't expect magic.

    Plastic Bumpers

It's been a while for me, but I don't remember it being that painful. Remove the front wheel arch plastic trim, and remove a few screws... done. But that's without an A-Frame brush bar. I can't make a comment about how easy pushing out the spot will be without seeing it. If you don't...

    Audio Connectivity Module

The disadvantage about the Monster product is the AUX output is on the dock connector instead of the power plug like the Belkin has... having it on the power plug makes it really quite easy to interface to the AUX jack that's right next to the power plug in the LR3/RRS. (I use a cable that's...

    Audio Connectivity Module

I'm not sure they offer a LR "dock" adapter for the iPhone. You'd need to check with LR. Do note that you still will have the low AUX volume problem, even with the 'official' kit since it's wired the same way... the only gain is that you can skip tracks from the steering wheel controls. If...

    "Suspension raising slowly..."

If it happens often in normal use, bring it in... it's shouldn't be happening regularly. If there isn't enough air in the reservoir due to excessive playing (up and down fully maybe 4 times or more?), the system will "raise slowly" and, of course, kick in the air compressor. And sure, it could...

    Tipping Over

There is no tip warning light on LR3, and (in my opinion) it would be totally pointless in reality. :)

Quickly finding a POI on the NAV?

No, the voice item for a specific POI simply makes the icon appear on your map if it's there. Once you see the icon, you can press/touch it, etc. (This works without the bypass.)

1791 Navigation Hack and NEW 2008 Map Disc

The bypass removal was after MY2006, or maybe late year 2006 models with 2007 map discs... and yes, it's gone forever once the new disc has touched the system. Go to the original thread: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10677 or use search for much discussion.

The "Land Rover" 4th Button on the FOB

The hatch keyfob feature is used on the Range Rover Sport and not intended to be used on the LR3. (That's why it's undocumented.) As you can tell, they didn't disable the programming logic for LR3. Yep, discussed in this forum ages ago...
