Hey all,

Has anybody here installed the "Audio Connectivity Module" for iPod integration?
It would be great if you could share your thoughts/comments regarding this addition to the LR3.
Also does the Dock for the iPod work with the iPhone an well?

Thanks

3rd...and isn't that 'official' module something like $500?

I'm not sure they offer a LR "dock" adapter for the iPhone. You'd need to check with LR.

Do note that you still will have the low AUX volume problem, even with the 'official' kit since it's wired the same way... the only gain is that you can skip tracks from the steering wheel controls. If that's worth it to you, go for it. If not, use the Belkin with the line-out like I do. :)

I like this one much better. I am not a fan of Belkin products.
The disadvantage about the Monster product is the AUX output is on the dock connector instead of the power plug like the Belkin has... having it on the power plug makes it really quite easy to interface to the AUX jack that's right next to the power plug in the LR3/RRS. (I use a cable that's only a couple of inches.) That way there is just one cable running to the iPod.

I have both the iPhone and iPod. I usually just have my iPod connected because of the amount of music on there vs. iPhone, but the iPhone works fine. You'll get a message on the iPhone that says "this device not designed to work with this," but it does. Music plays just fine and the phone recharges. No worries.
