Imagine paying $60,000 for a car that doesn't drive straight.

    "...overpriced Camry", poetry :)

LR3 BASE VS X5 - please help newbie

Well, I see no one is touching this one. Ok from one newb to a mega newb...you could not have chosen two SUV's more opposite. Why are you looking at either one? It makes more sense to compromise and save 5k for a used ML350 instead. Compared to the X5; It's larger, same milage...

If it's that bad I'll be doing it from the top and not going underneath at all. I have a pump to suck it out. More info to you later.

DIY Oil and Filter Change - 10K miles - Tips

I'd like to hear his explanation. No, not that I have ever heard (I used to manage a quick-lube shop many eons ago). Being much less viscous than dino oils they have a tendency to slip past slightly worn gaskets (and rings-if motor is worn enough) thus providing you with a small leak. Still...

    Rear View Camera

Just at Costco yesterday and they are currently selling a backup camera that bolts to the upper license plate screws and has a wireless conneciton to a small monitor that they advertise mounting to the drivers suin visor for $80. May be worth a try.

Very excited...I'm stuck at work and wife couldn't wait. She's buying the LR3 now....

Coming from 2 ML's with an inlaw that let me spend some time with their new ML350 (loaded)...I would still buy the LR3 hands down!! If that little bit of gas mileage and being a bit faster is important ...then maybe.

    Blue Tooth/ PTI

Luis is correct as it works this way for my wife and I also. You can then store #'s using the voice command system and create your own address book. It cannot use the address book from the phone. The only problem we have is trying to figure out which is connected when we both get in...

Ok, a week later after taking delivery. Very very nice, I could only find fault in two areas (and that really isn't an issue), one is the gas mileage. We started at 9 and now up to 13.2... OUCH! Second is the overly plastic dash. Nice but a bit much. Love that Logic 7 sound (it's not my...

The look of the current M3 is absolutely intoxicating, love it, but I had never heard one at high rpm until I raced one. Glad it was from a stop as he would have killed me from a roll. OMG! That sound!

Heck for 8k more I could get into an M3 convertable...Hmmm, then the $ and gas mileage thing.

Older Camrys' ...yuck, new ones are nicer than I ever expected. I have been searching like mad and I have narrowed it down to the Subaru Legacy GT turbo. After $1500 in mods it rewards you with enough luxury to get by, great handling, and a 0-60 in 4.9 sec., all while enjoying 28mpg on the...

    pollen filter

And if you are past your warranty... I have heard of others cutting up home, central-air filters. The material is probably something you can find in many hardware or auto parts stores. At least I have heard of others doing this in other cars, not the LR.

Uh...I don't make that much.. If I could yes very good choice. Although not the pinnacle of high performance, I very much like the Cayman S, or the older 993 Turbo. Askewed...your right-no worries here, I understood your humor from the get go. For the rest of you...you may have to read...

Need a shop reccomendation for DVD install in SoCal.

Didn't want to pay what the dealer was asking thinging I could do better. I also prefer two roof mounted units over the one. Anyway, I'm in SoCal and looking for a shop. Thanks,

Alright so...first lesson is to take Askewed with a grain (bucket) of salt...done. Little things shouldn't bother us. Were were first yr. owners of the ML back in 98' and made many trips to the dealership. Still love the ML. It's gas milage, street handling, brakes, all w/a third...

Hello all... Second post and glad to be here! My wife has wanted a decent replacement for our Mercedes ML and let me tell ya, it's not easy finding a medium sized replacement (third row is mandatory). For a more upscale ride there is nothing else to choose from. The ML has been great...
