    Battery +Ve Terminal Loose

A year ago my wife had a complete shutdown driving in snow mode. Like everything was dead. She had to wait for a while (5-10mins) then it restarted and they kept going. told the dealer about it and there was nothing for codes. "no faults found". so a couple of weeks ago, i'm driving on a...

    Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/60/R18

We had new Coops - Discoveries in the winter last year. same here - pretty slippery on icy stuff. I went to some cheapo Hankooks winter radials - so far so good. $1000 for the set.

What do you like best about your rig?

i really like the styling of it, and the only one in our town of 20,000 people = unique. fits our family well (6 total) without being too huge. seats are exc. drives and steers well enough, good driving position & steering+ brakes. we've had so much snow past few weeks, roads not...

    Aluminum Interior upgrade

The gauge bezels are under lense and binncale so they won't come in conflict with the suite of knurled aluminum. the plan is to do the instrument bezels in the future. we've had them in our LR3 for a couple of months now and i like them as much as first install. they look great. we are...

NEW Grand Black Lacquer Wood Trim for LR3

We were at the dealer yesterday for warranty stuff and I saw an '08 with some molded wood-look accents. Looked quite plasticky. The vents were shined up as well but finish was similar a to chromed plastic. Nice touch but didn't have that quailty material look. Nothing beats the CNC machined...

    Go for it??

there was another truck went up the same road today to get the "antler cache" and they didn't attempt the first two gullies - got out and walked it. this aft we went to different area of our lake today, crawled up a washed out road to a plateau, that was fun. will go back this week...

    Go for it??

I never thought to use spotters for tires - that's a good idea. No depth in the pix so it's a bit deeper than it looks. gaps in the rocks are pretty big. Now we could have filled them in with extra rocks with about 10 min work. Had a full crew there - 3 sons, 1 daughter and the LR3...

    used LR3s for sale

prices for all vehicles (except collectibles) prices will eventually reach $500 - scrap metal value. Just a matter of time, so keep that in mind!! Having said that the LR3 is a heck of a bargain used. Like most imported, fairly complex rides, perceived service costs seem to set the price...

    Go for it??

We were up a mountain on a logging road and about 1km from the top. An excavator had taken out three culverts (to replace i guess). The first two holes, soft dirt we got through with just touching the front skid plate. no biggie. this one I was concerned for the tires. copper discoverer HT...

    Aluminum Interior upgrade

We now have the LR3 bezels done and in stock and have been using a production set in our LR3 for a month. They look fantastic. The vents we had to change to a different style of bezel - but they look nice as well. Should have pricing on our website this week. www.garage9.com cheers.

    Aluminum Interior upgrade

Our website Hi, Sure you can hit up on the progress at our on-line garage... http://www.garage9.com As you can see we started with a Porsche 928GTS, then did some products for the 944/968 series. But I wanted to go more current & thought we could do up an SUV. Looking at different...

    Aluminum Interior upgrade

Thanks for the comments. This is straight-up high quality aluminum stock, 5052 I think. Some polishing on the finish. Aluminum you can polish to chrome-like if you go far enough, but I like a more subtle tone. There is no clear coat. And there is a bezel for the terrain knob. The...

First time adding coolant, green or orange?? Please help...

Coolant sensor fault The float sinks to the bottom of the tank, causes the low coolant warning. Ours has this at the moment, haven't taken it in for that. Been a great truck since buying it in January.

    Trailer Fuses - Location?

Got my trailer wiring kit all installed, went well. But bad wiring #$@^$ on the new trailer toasted the running light fuse for the trailer ckt. Manual says the supp fuse panel is in the rear LH compartment, but I see nothing. I hope it's not behind the inside 1/4 panel... Thanks

    problems

In the case of a swap out of a car with some apparently unfixable problem, to a new one (with yet another unfixable problem), I would think there are formulas applied for time used, depreciation (e.g. $15 per day) and betterment for say a change in model year. So yes by my calculations it is...

    problems

I've got the US owner's documentation package (but am in Canada - bought a Calif LR3). Anyway there is a clear process laid out for dispute settlement in there. It sounds very rational and reasonable to me. I don't see why one wouldn't follow the procedures laid out by LR. Only after...

    Fuel cap loose or missing?

Well there's a happy story. Tip - keep just a tad of silicone lube on the gas filler tube/cap seal. Turns in nicer too. I did that last night with ours. First time I've done it to a gas cap though. In fact all moving parts, seals, hinges, linkages, etc. need to treated or lubricated in...

    Rear door speaker grill replacement

We are interested in making service parts. We can have a look at it. I can't really tear apart our LR3. How bad is your current grill? Some epoxy, a bit of carbon fiber strands for support, sanding, wetsand, airbrush finish it could possibly be repaired. We've done this with Porsche grills.

    Fuel cap loose or missing?

Bad Manners? Yes of course closed systems have been around for 20 years but monitoring the system like this is recent and part of ODBII. The sum of all cars with faulty EVAP systems equals huge amounts of unburned HC's into the atmosphere adding to the greenhouse problem that might to cook...

    Fuel cap loose or missing?

I read a TSB about this message. There was a software change that revised the original text that was engineering gobble-de-gook to what you've written here - Loose filler cap. Basically it's an environmental warning that there has been a breach in the evaporation control system - the closed...
