Looking to buy 2005 LR3 SE with 139k miles.

If you zip tie the sensors up out of the way, you will never have to change them. I change my tires twice a year so I insect the brakes at that time. No need for a sensor to buy.

Tips for dealing with LR3 windshield wipers that don't swing out

Around here people put bags or rags between the wipers and the glass. Do you have a heated windshield? I run that for a while while scraping above the wipers and the rest melts off.

Tire Load Question - SL vs XL & <111-112?

The Goodyear HP was 8ply?? Haven't had them in a while. The zeon LTZ are 5 ply but are rated for 3klbs each. The Goodyear are 111 rating. I run blitzack 108 load rating during the winter and are 2.6klbs each which is enough for me. Good luck!

    Electrical HELP Please

If you can get a breaker bar in through the top, the shroud doesn't need to be removed. I did as PhyrraM. all work from under or through the passenger wheel well.

Does a whining sound = failed alternator

Yes. Completely draining a battery reduces its life. You may want to have it capacity tested.

Does a whining sound = failed alternator

Last August I had the same whining. Alternator output was 12.5v. Just replaced the whole thing. it is an fairly easy DIY. All done from the passenger wheel well except taking tension of the idle pulley with a 1/2" drive.

    Pads or Pads/Rotors?

After 50k I just replaced my pads only. Didn't pull the rotors as there was not scoring. Used ecb green. Works great. No squeaks and smooth but great braking. Also flushed the fluid. 115$ for the DIYer Pulling the rear rotor requires recalibration of the Emergency brake. Google disco3 uk...

How to remove a Tow Hitch?

If you can get I pushed out parkways it may be enough to pull it off the shaft. You don't need to remove it completely. Otherwise drill out the roll pin or cut the whole thing off if you were planning on relaxing it anyways.
