Break light replacement question
This exact same thing just happened to my 2005 LR3......both brake lights are out. I just find it very unusual to have both burn out at once. I was going to take it in to the dealer since I assumed it was not the bulbs. If you try changing out the bulbs and it works, post an update please. -

Hood Logo Letters
I take my car to the Hornburg on Olympic in Santa Monica. I always mention this forum and let them know this is a known issue. If you don't succeed at that particular location, try another one. I didn't buy my LR3 at Hornburg and they treat me well. -

89 Octane Gasoline
I am in Los Angeles and always use the lowest octane fuel available. 87 or 89. I have had no problems, engine runs smoothly, and actually have noticed increased mileage with the lower octanes. -

How long did/should your brake pads last?
I'd say you're doing very well. I just had all pads replaced at my 22,500 mile service. They had been squealing for a few thousand miles, which I assume was the wear indicator. The service manager told me that I actually got more mileage out of my first set of brake pads than most... -

I did notice that the custom seat cover places specifically ask about in-seat airbags so I know they take that in to account. Maybe the put in some kind of velcro "break away" panel. -

Fuel pump problem? Bad design?....

I have the stock 18" on my LR3 and did some pretty serious off-roading in the Anza-Borrego Desert and also in Sedona, AZ. I wasn't sure how the tires would hold up but was fairly impressed. Not sure I can do too many more trips before a side-wall issue, but so far so good. -
