Can't he just take it ( the radiator) to a reputable shop and have them boil or rod it out? Usually a lot less expensive and great results from past experience. -

Not hot air.
Is the temp gauge running at normal operating temp? Best to test thermostat in a pot of water stove top b4 installing to make sure it's opening at proper temp. I've been amazed as to how many have failed in my lifetime. Otherwise I'd look into the heater control unit or make sure there is... -

From your post it sounds to me like they took the aftermarket out and reinstalled the original. My 95 amp is under the passenger seat. I have had my back door apart can't remember if the woofer amp is in the speaker cabinet or is part of the amp under the seat. Seems like a stealership would... -

Ran out of gas, now it won't start at all?
Don't know about a 98, but my 95 fuel pump is exposed by pulling the carpet up in the back, no need to pull the tank. Can you hear the pump run when ignition is turned on? As others have mentioned in this forum you might have to have a second person in the back to listen for the pump. And no... -

warning signs of a bad starter?
My 95's starter went out with about 120,000 on it. About the same mo. I was amazed after I pulled the starter apart with a guy that rebuilds starters that almost all the parts were all laying in the bottom of the starter housing oil soaked and broken. That little starter acted up for a month... -

very little sound from radio
Have you checked the speakers? Ohmeter should register somewhere between 3.5 and 8 ohms I would think or simpley take one that is not working and try it on a stereo or sound generator. -

Headlight question
The connector should have a small catch that will allow you to pull the brass connector out of the plastic shell. Then you could retension the brass connector. If the connector has lots of hours on it it may have gotten to the point that it is annealed and has taken a set. A burnishing file... -

Need to put the Fan Belt Back on
The idler pulley sits upon the tensioner it is synonomous. Check and see if all that runs on this belt is ok. And remember to always put the belt on the same direction it came off yes it does matter. Because yours fell off it may be that you didn't mark it before removing it and it ran off... -

Try locking and unlocking the doors four times? I assume that's if it were locked to begin with. -

Fuel Pump Relay
If it's like my 95. It is located in the pass side footwell (side nxt to pass door). Remove panel. Should be the upper row and closest to the door. It's called k119 if you have the Electrical manual veiw 151. Very hard to see as the pics are quite crummy. -

Need to put the Fan Belt Back on
I'm not too familiar with the discovery 2's. However I'm sure it's one of the pulley's, water pump pulley or idler tension pulley. Don't know if the ac pulley is a seperate belt. Best to follow the routing and check all that runs thru it. Could be bad bearings in any of the aboved mentioned... -
