Look into the nokian vativa's great price and all around great four season tires or you could look at their winter tires. I just think they are way better than any I've used.
Can't he just take it ( the radiator) to a reputable shop and have them boil or rod it out? Usually a lot less expensive and great results from past experience.
Is the temp gauge running at normal operating temp? Best to test thermostat in a pot of water stove top b4 installing to make sure it's opening at proper temp. I've been amazed as to how many have failed in my lifetime. Otherwise I'd look into the heater control unit or make sure there is...
From your post it sounds to me like they took the aftermarket out and reinstalled the original. My 95 amp is under the passenger seat. I have had my back door apart can't remember if the woofer amp is in the speaker cabinet or is part of the amp under the seat. Seems like a stealership would...
Don't know about a 98, but my 95 fuel pump is exposed by pulling the carpet up in the back, no need to pull the tank. Can you hear the pump run when ignition is turned on? As others have mentioned in this forum you might have to have a second person in the back to listen for the pump. And no...
Careful of the alternator you purchase. I bought a lousy world parts alternator it charged but the tach didn't work. It did not charge to specs as well. The store gave me another one same issue. A Bosch alternator will cost $400 but it will work and it's lasted longer than the two oem's that...
FYI: I surely would not trust car fax. Too many ways that unscrupuluos people work around it to their advantage. Best is a knowledgible mechanic and body man to look it over. Carfax is a bust a scam a joke in my opinion.
Ok so who was the high level shmuck that moved the relay didn't have anything better to do. Who owned landrover that year? Probably an executive high level move. Bring about change so you've got to have a specific year manual. Well at least you've found it.
My 95's starter went out with about 120,000 on it. About the same mo. I was amazed after I pulled the starter apart with a guy that rebuilds starters that almost all the parts were all laying in the bottom of the starter housing oil soaked and broken. That little starter acted up for a month...
Have you checked the speakers? Ohmeter should register somewhere between 3.5 and 8 ohms I would think or simpley take one that is not working and try it on a stereo or sound generator.
The connector should have a small catch that will allow you to pull the brass connector out of the plastic shell. Then you could retension the brass connector. If the connector has lots of hours on it it may have gotten to the point that it is annealed and has taken a set. A burnishing file...
I'd settle for a smaller engine but one that could be started with a manual crank bar and please no electric windows. Just a truck please. Very very minimilistic.
The idler pulley sits upon the tensioner it is synonomous. Check and see if all that runs on this belt is ok. And remember to always put the belt on the same direction it came off yes it does matter. Because yours fell off it may be that you didn't mark it before removing it and it ran off...
If it's like my 95. It is located in the pass side footwell (side nxt to pass door). Remove panel. Should be the upper row and closest to the door. It's called k119 if you have the
Electrical manual veiw 151. Very hard to see as the pics are quite crummy.
I'm not too familiar with the discovery 2's. However I'm sure it's one of the pulley's, water pump pulley or idler tension pulley. Don't know if the ac pulley is a seperate belt. Best to follow the routing and check all that runs thru it. Could be bad bearings in any of the aboved mentioned...
Ump: there is a special swivel housing grease. Sold in 370 gm bottle. Not as viscous as wheel bearing grease. I'm a purist that is resisting using it as I like to drain and refill with 80/90 oil. Call me stupid.
Now that the tape is out but it is still playing,'the mechanism may be broken. Hold the cassette door open and shine a pen lite in. Locate the lever to the back side of the tape deck and litely push it away from you. Then push eject. It helped to have three hands or lodge a pen lite in the...
Sound like you are using a cassette head adaptor. Throw it out once you get it out or be very careful with it. You may have to pull the deck out of the dash and remove the top cover to extract the cassette. You may be able to extract it by gently pushing down on the cassette with a finger or...
