Same site I was looking at - I am also interested in hearing if anyone has used the Romik side steps. BTW - my dealer gave me the same quote...too high in my opinion for the actual side steps. I would pay the labor. Did you happen to ask if they would install aftermarket? -

We have the Thule Ridgeline...holds 4 bikes. My husband uses the bar adapter that creates a straight bar from the stem to seat post - he has a Santa Cruz with a slanted bar that doesn't fit well without the adapter. -
