Some key fob help...
Well I went through all of the forums and tried to fix it myself... it didn't work and I am now dead in the water... driving my son's VW as my LR3 won't start... LR of Austin told me there was no electronic "key" and I could start my car... nope... it sits dead in my driveway waiting for $400... -

Cooper Zeons or ATR's or Something else ?
I run the Hankook Ventus AS... really like them and they are a very quiet, all around great tire... I've got almost 30k miles with tread for another 15k-20k... I do have a little feathering on them as I need new shocks, but I would certainly buy again... -

AC went out!
You should be able to find that compressor for MUCH less at a parts yard... Through my years of ownership, that hasn't been a big issue... my air will freeze you out... Probbaly just one of those things... a co-worker has a Honda CRV and they are supposed to be the end all... she is currently... -

Wind noise on drivers side?
This is my biggest gripe with my LR3... I've spent almost $600 to have the problem fixed... and it still isn't fixed... I'm having to learn to live with it as Land Rover Austin racks up the cash every time I go in. It's always something different but it never gets remedied... I refuse to spend... -

Key Fob...
So my "Unlock" button has finally worn through on my 2005 LR3... open to circuitry... I see replacement fobs on eBay for less than $10 bucks... Is it easy to "gut" my current fob and install the innards and key into a new fob? -

Search high and low... Many members here highly recommend Hankook tires... Count me among them... really great bang for the buck... I outfit all of my vehicles with Hankook tires now... -

No... I used the foil as my LR dealer wanted $90 for the sensor. I was born at night, but not LAST night... If I could find one for $15 or $20 I would go ahead and buy a new one... -

By the way... replacing the sensor is easy as well if you want to go that route... If you do that pm me and I'll snap some pics for you... takes about 5 minutes and $100 bucks for the sensor... Foil trick is free... -

You don't have to replace it unless you want to... It's not a matter of cleaning, but rather the angle that the hood latch closes the switch. Bend and bend and bend... you'll never get it perfectly right... I had the same issue... I just disconnected the harness from the sensor, placed a piece... -

Alarm going off
Well if it happens frequently, you can unplug the harness in about 5 seconds on the alarm switch under the passenger side bonnet latch. After that, just use a paper clip to complete the circuit in the harness plug and arm you truck. You can leave the hood open as that will complete the circuit... -

Cargo area differences, 5 seats vs. 7?
It's a two-step process... After the second row of seats is folded down, reach under the front of each seat and find the black strap. Pull the strap forward and slide the seat into the flat position. The reason they do that, imo, is so you can move the front seats forward if you are a tall... -

Back when I had that issue, the "Open Bonnet" warning only came on about 5% of the time, but it was the problem 100% of the time... I eventually removed the sensor put a piece of foil to close the circuit plugged it in and never have had any more issues... -

Your bonnet alarm module may be failing... Mine did... it's common... Under the passenger side bonnet latch is your alarm sensor. There are two slots you push to snap it out. I bent the switch to close more securely, but it eventually wore out. I just used foil to bridge the connectors and no... -
