I found another post refering to the t-case solenoid (thanks mike)- common issue is corrosion - pull and clean
(rave- section 41 pg 4 no. 6)

when it is foggy or misty upon start up I get misfires for the first several minutes -- until the engine has heated the engine compartment - hence removing the moisture -
I can visually see an arc between one particular coil pack (rave manual - section 19 pg 8 no. 2) and the metal rail upon...
so I hit the miles that the light says go to the stealer and get taken -
this is not the check engine light) - red, to the right (in the cluster)
I read it needs to have the emission system checked - not gonna happen - standard at 83500 (around there) - nothings wrong just a annoying light...

I didnt clear it - I did drive 45 hwy miles last night (light was on) and was kicking it down a few times.
could this be a bigger problem- should codes really clear themselves?

Joey - would carbon buildup on a valve throw a code? (I always use shell or BP 93 octane)or is that a response to the throbing acceleration
If plugs and wires dont do it - should I go for seafoam next?

yes sears owes you lugs - - you cannot use nuematic (sp) tools on those lugs - I had the same thing happen when I bought my used D1 - at MD inspections they check the brakes - ie take the wheels off - and rounded over 15 lugs - I called them and complained and the ordered new ones and replaced...

had a high pitch squeal coming from the front of the engine (at least it seems) the other day when I stopped at the atm (left running - vehicle plenty warmed up) - (couldn't really hear it in the car)... A/C was on. Squeal stopped on its own. didnt repeat on restart either - - I believe...

another update:
called dealer - they said start the truck disconnect the negative terminal from the battery - if it dies its your alt - -did that - - ran fine with all accessories on
Voltmeter gave me 13.5 volts from alt - - while negative terminal was disconnected -
any ideas...
update:
drove to work today - samething - idling funny
checked old battery last night - had 11.5 to 12 volts in it
also its a magneti alternator - any history issues maybe..??
have you checked all the fuid levels, any maintainence history with the vehicle?

I have put 93 (dont have 91 anywere) octane since I got it - since prices are going through the roof ... again!! (I heard posibly 5 bucks soon) I decided to try 89 - runs just fine
