If you still have access to your truck, does it atart in (N)eutral? PS, you can take it out of (P) and into (N)eutral by taking out the center cup holder and pushing in the white plastic and shifting it to N.

    Water leak from dome light?

The drain tubes go down to your side vents. Look for tubes on the top rear corner of each or your side vents and try clearing it from there.

1-Yr Check-in and Trouble Code Rant

That's some good info right there. I've been battling rich fuel for quite (3 years) a while and still can't figure it out. When I did my timing chain, I replaced a lot of fuel related things hpfp, injectors, all o2 sensors, both maf sensors, map sensor, and still shows negative fuel trims. I...

    Intermittent Suspension Fault

Not all scanners are created equal. THE only sub-$600 device that'll do almost everything including modifying CCF files is the Gap IID Tool. This tool was created specifically for land rovers. Once you get the fault codes, look up the problems, clear the fault codes and see what actually comes back.

    Intermittent Suspension Fault

Once you get your gap iid tool, recalibrate your suspension on the flatest ground you can find. That typically resovles a lot of issues. Before anyone replaces the hitachi compressor, I highly recommend replacing the decascent silicates in the dryer first that causes 90% of the issue. For that...

    Water pump nipple

Yup, I've been using a bmw brass bleed screw for a few years now. That reminds me, I should preemptively replace the o-ring on it.

Has anyone tried to remove the water pump and accidentally broken the plastic n i p p l e? Instead of buying the upper cooling pipe(s), 2 pipes if you need the updated version, you can get this brass n i p p l e...

    suspension

It self-adjusts every once in a while. If you're trying to lock it into position for an alignment, the Gap IID Tool has a feature on it that puts it in "tight tolerance mode" just for that specific occasion. For all else, you can simply pull fuse F26 for the compressor and F3 for power to the...

    OVERHEATING

You have air pockets in your cooling system. You'll need to use the bleed screw next to the battery to get the air out and burp the system. I find a coolant vacuum tool is the best and easiest way to do this. I have this kit and it's great.

    Hidden Winch Install Question

Just cut the top flap for clearance. It's unnecessary to remove it, but if you're inclined to it looks like a phillips bit. You'll need to relocate the external temp sensor that's clipped on the air dam shroud.

Best way to attach winch to stock battery?

I did exactly what @CRYA did on the positive side. The negative is grounded at the other end of the BMS cable on the chassis.

    Auto high-beam assist - disappeared

Typically a hard reset just means that they took the battery leads off the battery for 10 minutes and bridged both loose battery leads together for a few seconds to reset everything. If you have a Gap IID Tool, you can check the CCF for it.

    Water leak from dome light?

Pretty sure you need to check your sunroof drains. Run some **** wacker line through your sunroof drains. They are located in the front corners and run down to the side air vent grills. I highly recommend turning off the dome light while doing this, hold the front center dome light button down...

The foam insert is included when you buy the tow package from factory, but you can buy it separately. http://www.bputah.com/LR3/Land_Range_Rover_Sport_LR3_LR4_Tow_Hitch_Receiver_Holder_Bracket_Stowage.html

Used Vehicle Inspection Items and Would you Do This?

Just adding to inspection items to check. - Unplug BMS and check for 13.8V - Tests alternator's default value - EPB, engage and disengage it - Make sure it actually works - All terrain modes - Sport mode - AC/Heat in front/rear - Check all door functionality including rear upper/lower hatch...

    2012 LR4 H/K subwoofer > No longer working

The easiest way to get more bass is to dynomat inside the tailgate. It's a night/day difference. The oem sub actually sounds decent with just 1 layer of dynomat in the tailgate and 1 layer over the upper tailgate actuator to cover all the open holes. BTW, this is a great time to do this...

    Quick Compressor Replacement Question

@BeemerNut I feel ya. Stealerships are just that, a business that is under the name, "Land Rover". Service techs are selling goods and services at premium prices. Just look at their hourly service is almost $200/hr, that's outrageous.

    Quick Compressor Replacement Question

All '14 and up has the newer AMK compressors, with some late '12 and '13s have the AMK fitted. Most likely you're getting the genuine compressor from a Land Rover dealership. I would suggest getting it from FCPEuro and have a lifetime warranty for it and from the looks of it comes with all the...

    Spark plugs?

Spark plugs, you can touch them, it's consensual. You should change them out at least once every 5 years. I've seen them go longer for sure, but I've noticed electrodes burning out earlier than 3 years too. I highly recommend Denso Iridium Long Life, it's a personal preference. I like Denso over...
