    A/C Help

I believe it does, how would I check to see if the clutch is engaged?

    A/C Help

Everything acts as if the AC is working it’s just the air is not cold, it’s as if the A/C button isn’t clicked. Blower motor works great and ac light turns on, just no AC.

    A/C Help

Before I start this off, this is a post about a D5 AC system which I believe to be pretty similar to the LR4 system (same SCV6). ANYWAY… Just replaced the O2 sensor on my parents D5 and everything was well. About a week after I got into the car and the AC system just doesn’t work. No codes, no...

Serpentine/Accessory belt failure on a very wet, dark MI road in the middle of nowhere...

Usually if the AC compressor, or any pulley for that regard, locks up you would hear loud belt squeal. Sounds like the belt must've come off the probably due to a bad tensioner. It is possible that the belt could've just snapped but I feel like this is less likely. Was the belt completely gone...

Serpentine/Accessory belt failure on a very wet, dark MI road in the middle of nowhere...

I had an AC compressor lock up my serpentine belt and rip it into pieces. I doubt the belt tore from just old age. My assumption is either oil leaking on it which caused it to deteriorate or a locked up pulley. When you say noises do you mean like belt squeal?

    700hp - I will ultimately do this

I reached out to them, they said 25-30k. It’s a full overhaul, might as well prefect suspension bushings while the body is off the frame.

    2012 LR4 150k Mile Maintenance

I’m at 148, I’ve only done plugs (110k) and a purge valve. Alternator went at 147k. As of now I need to do valve covers and upper timing covers. Also believe my rear main likes to leak a bit when I’m not driving the car daily. Cooling system has been annoying, I’m waiting for the water pump to...

lowering suspension when not in use for weeks on end

Random question, I normally lower the suspension when the LR4 will not be in use for a couple of days so I can put less pressure on the airbags. In this case it'll be more like weeks on end, but should I be lowering it or ill it put more stress on the bushings? Might be thinking too deep about...

Yup, they literally make the stock arms but Land Rover puts a stamp on it and sells it for much more. Part numbers and everything match up on the Land Rover stamped ones and on the lemforder ones.

Dash lit up like a Christmas tree out in BFE

This. You need a gap tool, too many electronics in this car. It’s hard to point you in the right direction if you can’t give a proper description. I can’t stress enough how important the gap tool is especially since you push your LR4 so much. trust me, it’s nice to have a clue of what’s going...

Lemforder is OE for these cars. All the stock control arms, sway bar links and bushings, and tie rods are made by lemforder. They still make suspension arms for LR to this day

I hate rust belt.....rear upper arms were a PITA

Bout to order mine and do them. Luckily for me I live in California so rust isn’t exactly my issue. Is the job straight forward except for rust?

HD package is super rare/desirable and that mileage isn’t too bad. I would throw a reman in there, but if it didn’t have the HD package I would say sell it.

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye

@ryanjl take care, and best of luck with the Land Cruiser. Your “incredibly unhelpfulness” has served this forum, myself included, in ways that no other could’ve. You will be missed, enjoy your new chapter. Also if you get bored of the reliability of the Land Cruiser feel free to revisit and...

    5.0 supercharged into an LR4?

Love it!!!! I’m at 147k, and my trucks been in the family since new in 2010. My engine is still running great but I figure I’ll put another 20k miles on it and probably get a new daily. Then when the money pools on the side I’ll pull the body off the frame, powder coat the frame for good...

    Testing air suspension for leaks?

I’ve had arnott struts on the front of my rig since about 90k- 100k. Probably almost for 6 years now, they’ve been great. Rears are original, won’t be replacing them till I hear an air leak like I did with the fronts. My compressor is also arnott, had it since 80k, it’s been great as well...

    OEM Waterpump vs British Atlanta/ProFlow

I’m having the same debate, mine was done at 79k and now I’m wondering how long it’ll last. I’m at 147k right now.

    maintenance history since new 2013

I feel your pain, every time I feel like I got the car fully sorted another item comes up. I had planned on doing valve covers, upper and upper timing covers when all the sudden my alternator dies, I replace that and then notice while I’m down there that there’s a coolant leak coming from my...

    Control arm fail

unfortunately i come here barring some bad news (for me). noticed my rear passenger side tire wearing a little bit more on the outside and thought the people who did my alignment didn't do it right, come to find out that my rear passenger upper control arm is busted, not even the liquid filled...

    New engine noise

Ok just let me know. I would be doing the same but I haven’t done the chains so it’s more likely that a shop will just tell me it is to get money out of me. With your warranty it entitles them to fix it if someone had a similar noise and claimed it was the timing chain which you’ve just had...
