And rear last
Tightening the front and rear bolts will bend down the rail on both ends and allow it to shape flush with the roof
The plastic tips that go on the end of the rails do not sit totally flush on the roof. They do press down on the trimmed rail guards.
When laying the rails on the roof the front and rear will stay separate from the roof since the rail is flat and the roof is curved. This is how the front looks
And the rear
Bolt down the center first
Front next
First take off the rail guards
Remove the three plastic thread studs and twist the rail guards outwards
Trim the front tip of the rail guard, just up to the front perforation and install it back on
Repeat the same process on the rear tip of the rail guard
Picked up the skis yesterday and now I think I'll need a roof setup to haul them around. Yesterday I brought them home in the back of the LR4 (I removed my 2nd row center seat for easier access to the third row).
When heading out to the slopes I'll likely be driving the RRS and taking...
I finally did it. My brother and his wife are visiting and since we have our daughters in car seats in the second row they are riding on the third row. Space is great but access isn't (when you can't flip the side seats on the second row because of the car seats).
I remembered the discussion...

Thanks for the prompt response!
There was frost all over my lawn and I could feel the cold without the warning light, since it was 34F when I got out for a workout at 6AM (from our warm home which is at 68) :frown:
Inside the car it was warm and cuddly with heated seats and steering wheel :proud:
This would definitely be a +1 size, which is what I'm looking for. I need to figure out if it will be a problem (other than the odometer and speedometer being slightly off on the low side).
