Middle seat removal

I finally did it. My brother and his wife are visiting and since we have our daughters in car seats in the second row they are riding on the third row. Space is great but access isn't (when you can't flip the side seats on the second row because of the car seats).

I remembered the discussion on here on the subject and went at it with a ratchet: it's very simple and only takes 15 minutes. 2 bolts up front and 4 bolts in the back. I ordered the third row mat from BPUtah and still need to figure out what to put in the middle open space to cover the carpet that is normally under the seat.

Nice and clean. I actually managed to find two convertible car seats narrow enough to install on LH and center 2nd row positions (LH with LATCH, center with lap and shoulder seat belt) for my 4-yr old twin girls, which also allows me to fold the RH seat - normally used with a booster by my 9-yr old daughter - whenever I need access to the third row for friends, grandparents, etc.

If anyone is in my same predicament of 3 young kids and need to access the third row occasionally, the convertible car seats that fit side-by-side on the 2nd row are the Diono Radian (whatever model Radian they sell this year), great car seat.

I have twins also and I use peg perego convertible car seats in the center and behind the passenger seat. I'm still able to fold down the drivers side second row seat in order to gain access to the third row.
