2016 Steering wheel clunk from road imperfections

I would still follow my and @ktm525 advice and check the outer tie rods first.

2016 Steering wheel clunk from road imperfections

It does. I think earlier models of the lr4, and the lr3, needed replacement of the lower steering shaft over time. Something to do with the ujoint binding and then loosening. If I remember right, there was a TSB on it if you Google "lr4 lower steering shaft replacement"

2016 Steering wheel clunk from road imperfections

It could be quite a few things. Lower control arms to start (does it clunk when going over speed bumps). But if we trace it: out tie rods, inner tie rods, steering rack, steering rack pinion, lower steering shaft. It may also be normal depending on severity. The lr4's suspension has a tighter...

    Tax return plans?

That would be nice. No. I just rely on the IRS to be my savings account for the year. Smart? No. But, it works for us.

    Rear hatch still stuck!!

Yes, the key fob method would rule out a defective switch and point you towards the actuator. Since you just replaced it, (like the others stated) I would pull the access panel and trace the wiring from the actuator connector to where it disappears into the loom. Also, confirm that the license...

    Tax return plans?

I live vicariously through our forum members. Anyone have big plans for their tax returns? I am stalking an ARB front bumper and associated accessories, but I should probably buy the materials to build the back deck, terraces, and garden boxes that my wife wants.

93K miles update - poly bushings, Trans Pan Bracket, another exhaust leak etc.

Those exhaust manifold bolts are a pain to get to. I have all of the parts, but have not tackled it yet after aborting the driver side lol. On an interesting note, the bolts are only tightened to 18NM. Maybe overtightened at the factory and the expansion snapped the head off?

    Rear hatch still stuck!!

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems. You may have to trace the harness from the actuator connector to where it enters the ceiling.

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I truly don't mind dumping money into my truck. Of course, my wife may give a different answer

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

Nothing spectacular: new air filters, MAF cleaning, and cabin air filter. Also rewired the starter wires to the PSDB to see if some weird codes go away. Once I start her up and check the codes, I'll update my traxide thread.

That makes sense. Thank you! I'm sure I will do the same if/when I get a rack.

    Voyager Rack Ladder Nightmare

I guess it allows him to climb onto his roof rack if he wanted---maybe to help organize whatever is organized above the sunroof, or just to hang out. I think loading a roof rack is easier (and safer) when standing on the lowered tail gate. I don't have a roof rack. So, I'm not sure of the...

    2015LR4: Best H8 (Group 49) AGM Battery

I have an Autocraft / die hard (Advance Auto) platinum AGM H8 for my cranking battery, and a duralast (Autozone) platinum AGM H6 for my aux battery. No complaints with either.

    Battery Issue? AGM Lifetime?

I have the same charger. You only need (should) remove the battery when using the force or repair mode. The battery can remain connected during normal charging.

    Oil leak?

Shouldn't be too bad actually. Not having the supercharger saves you a lot of headache. Order the injector puller and injector seal tool. Atlantic British and most dealers sell the injector o-ring kit (Teflon seal, two o-rings, and an injector clip). Remove intake boxes and resonator from...

    Oil leak?

Looks like the vacuum pump, but I also see oil up by your fan pulley. My guess is passenger-side valve cover, timing cover, or the oil filter housing gasket.

This is what I use. OEM tpms stayed in the OEM wheels.

    Voyager Rack Ladder Nightmare

That is the exact setup I am looking for, but I hear you with the weight. Have you looked at lk8 aluminum gas tank skid and asfir/prospeed to save the weight? Quick thread derail for the gas tank skid--does it fit over the existing plate, or do you remove the stock plate. If you remove it, I...
