On the water pump spin question. I just replaced a perfectly good one last month. Of course mine is empty and in a box, but it spins maybe 2 full rotations when I give it a flick of the wrist. But yours is installed the vehicle so it's a different configuration... -
LR4 2016, the engine is dead!
Sounds like they did not bleed it properly, with the result of low coolant and overheated. -

Many will disagree, but for the cost difference I always go with Rover OEM fluids. Sometimes challenging to locate but somehow always available somewhere. -
When is it time to say goodbye?
Once they are paid for, it's just maintenance and gas, and those are always less then expensive than any alternative. I have driven all my vehicles until they literally die, with only one exception. It can be a long and painful goodbye, but it's a massive cost saver in the long run. -

2016 LR4 Intelligent stop/start not working
