    How crazy would it be...

If it is more or less a 100,000 mile interval, then I honestly wouldn't even care. Isn't that roughly when they're needing it?

    How crazy would it be...

I don't consider a drivetrain as "technological" so in reality, there is little difference. It's not like the lr4 has a bunch of actual 'tech' like the newest models of luxury cars do. Surround view is about the only thing I can think of. Keep in mind, I like the lr4, I had a deal negotiated...

    How crazy would it be...

Extremely unlikely. Micro market for that even though people like us think it could be cool. There is literally not much bad about the the lr3 motor. The transmission is annoying but it's also just fine. I went through a major period of being so done with the way the transmission shifts but...

    How crazy would it be...

Don't need a new model to buy a white one. LR4 isn't even the best of the modern discos, the lr3 has the better engine bay for long term reliability and maintenance.

Planning on swapping trans pan and fluid change...low profile torx recommendations?

Glad to help. To clarify, I did not swap the torx bolts to allen key/hex, I changed them to basic 6 point bolt heads. This is the lowest profile access based on the tool because you just need a box wrench, ideally ratcheting. Torx or hex female bolts require at least the bits and usually only...

    Rear lights

i have to ask, what in the hell are you talking about? the d2 rear lamps already are higher than most other vehicles of any type. oh, you mean 'brighter', not "higher", I hope. Your location says England....I suggest you find a UK forum where people have your vehicle. We only have the...

LR3 LR4 Range Rover Sport - TOOLS thread

When i repaired filler tubing, the pump, lines, on the 2nd fuel tank, a floor jack was essential. i did it at the same time as the bigger suspension work and used another floor jack that was not as new as the 4 for the big job. yeah, they're like $200 each but you can just pay a shop to do...

tool chests, but also simply solutions, cheap or easy for project carts. i used a plastic bin lid on a lowes blue plastic furniture dolly for 2 years now. it's low, rolls under the cars with me as opposed to an actual cart which would be stuck out beside car... i plan to make a little cart...

also things like bigger jack stands than most people usually think of getting. I'm trying to dig up photos to insert but I got 4 of the larger 12k or so that have a collapsed height of still 18" or so. These end up having a larger footprint too so the whole thing is way more stable when you've...

buy another white vehicle and leave the rover as is.... ;) Buy a white Disco 1 for less than the cost of the wrap!! Yes, that is the more cost effective plan and more fun too. In a year you can sell it when you get over it. You have to pay again to have a wrap removed properly and the...
