Well, I finally made the call yesterday to trade the old girl in. She was is great condition, 105,000 miles and there was no good reason other than wanting something new. I would have preferred to buy a Land Rover, but I want to see what the new Discovery looks like in the next 18 to 24... -

I can't remember the name as it was an unplanned trail that day, but it was on the South side of the road on the way up to Independence Pass from the Leadville side. It was one of the most beautiful days of the trip. If I recall, there was a lot of bear scat up there too... it was pretty remote. -
Question for Zeon users.
Don't buy these! The sidewalls crack and are unsafe. Many people in Colorado have had this issue, as well as the poster above. Take a look at the Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 if you want a aggressive look, with a great ride. -
Loud Fan and Reduced Throttle
You're truck definately has something up with the fuel system. You have always had lower gas mileage than my truck on the exact same trips... I think Flatirons should just give you an LR4 for all the trouble :) -
Land Rover Tailgate Noise
Hit the center latch on the tailgate(attaches to window section) and hit the two posts that the bottom tailgate section attached to. If that doesn't do it, you can adjust the two pieces where the window section meets the body. They are these little springloaded thingers(best I could do)... -

Crazy Cooper Zeon Tire deal...
I opted not to replace my Coopers with another set. I live in Boulder, CO and was pretty unimpressed with the snow and ice traction. Offroad, they were pretty good but not amazing. Additionally, they developed stress cracks throughout the tires... on all 4 and were scrapped by Discount Tire...
